The frozen waves beneath me, my homeland is now gone
I reach the shore to where it's best, and climb down from my ship
I face the land before me, as the northern winds whip
To foreign lands I have come, to seek my fortune and fame
Now I'm here, no turning back through the way I came
The frozen snow beneath my feet, a darkened sky above
I hope to return once again with the ones I love

I left behind my wasted life
No more troubled by daily strife

From the trees I hear a moan
